We are enhancing the many great parks and reserves and making it safer to enjoy the coastal strip by bike, or on foot. It’s a fast-growing community, so we are also building infrastructure that facilitates the growth while taking care of those who already call Pāpāmoa home.
There is a lot to love about Pāpāmoa and its natural environment. We are focused on caring for these aspects and also providing the amenities residents need to make the most of the neighbourhood for years to come.
We’re reviewing the Street Use and Public Places Bylaw 2018. This bylaw sets the rules for using public places.
Together with Pāpāmoa locals, we’re planning a new outdoor exercise area near the Pāpāmoa Shared Pathway at Parton Road to support accessible physical activity for young people and adults.
We’re upgrading Taylor Reserve and Taylor Reserve Access Road.
We’re upgrading the reserve and creating a vibrant new playground where the whole community can connect and play.
A new shared pathway along the Pāpāmoa Coastal Reserve to make walking and cycling safer is ready to be enjoyed by all.
Construction of a new interchange over the Tauranga Eastern Link will see Pāpāmoa East connected to the motorway and enable further development of the area.
We’re upgrading the capacity of Pāpāmoa East’s wastewater system and building new pipelines and pump stations for future growth.
Intersection changes around Maranui Street, Girven Road and Oceanbeach Road are improving travel between Pāpāmoa and the Mount and increasing safety for pedestrians.
We’re looking at making some roading improvements on our main traffic routes to help people get around more easily during construction of some of our major roading and waters projects.
With the ever-expanding population in Pāpāmoa, we’re continuing to add and upgrade amenities and environments for everyone to enjoy.
Te Tumu provides an opportunity to support landowner aspirations and the future growth of the city.
Providing safe and secure bike parking is one of the ways we can encourage more people to cycle in the city.
We are implementing a landscape plan for the 15km long Te Ara o Wairākei Stream reserve corridor, stretching from Pacific View Road to the Te Tumu boundary.
We're upgrading the wastewater infrastructure in Pāpāmoa East to make sure our underground pipes and pump stations are fit for the area's future growth.
