Short-term road safety and maintenance projects

We’re delivering safety improvements on Grenada Street to make crossing the road safer and easier for residents, visitors, and people travelling through the area. 

We’re constructing a new section of footpath on both sides of Ashley Place to connect with the existing footpath and make walking in the area safer and easier.

We’re making improvements to James Cook Drive to make it safer and easier to cross the road, especially during busy school travel times.

We’re carrying out maintenance on three stormwater outlets at Pilot Bay to ensure effective stormwater drainage and reduce localised flooding.

We’re upgrading the pedestrian crossing on Girven Road, located between Hawea and Grenada Streets, to a signalised crossing to make it safer and easier for everyone to get around.
