Short-term road safety and maintenance projects

We’re making safety improvements to pedestrian crossings around Mount Maunganui Primary School.

We are repairing a slip that is affecting the shoulder of Ōropi Road, between the SH29A roundabout and Maleme Street. Delays are expected with traffic management in place – please plan ahead if you travel through this area or along SH29A.

We’re building a new walkway and improving existing ones around Liston Park and Greerton Hall, to create better, accessible connections between Hynds Road and Cameron Road. 

We’re improving safety, accessibility and multi‑modal transport choices for people working in and visiting the Tauriko Business Estate by building shared paths where they’re most needed. 

We’re making improvements to Tweed Street to make it safer and easier to cross the road, especially for children and people walking to and from nearby schools and local destinations.
