We're improving facilities at Harford Avenue Reserve by adding a new toilet block near the playground, with work expected to get underway in early 2027.
Why are we doing this?
This addition responds to community feedback and supports the increased use of the reserve since the BBQ area and pump track were added in 2023, making it easier for people and whānau to stay longer and enjoy the space comfortably.
What are we doing?
- Installing a new toilet block near the playground at Harford Avenue Reserve. The facility will include two unisex accessible toilets with entrances facing the playground and reserve.
- Installing a new accessible drinking fountain with a water bowl for dogs outside the toilet block.
When is the work taking place?
Work on installing the toilet block is expected to start in late January or early February 2027 and will take around four to five weeks to complete.
