We’re transforming Allan McBride Reserve, Gate Pā into a vibrant, welcoming, inclusive space.

Thanks for your feedback

The consultation for the upgrade to Allan McBride Reserve has now closed. 

All the feedback from the community will be taken into consideration as we design the new-look playground and reserve.

Next steps

Over the next few months, we will be working with iwi/hapu and Tauranga Girls' College, based on the community feedback to date. We hope to share a final design concept with the community later this year.

Construction is planned for 2026, but the design journey is just getting started.
