We’re upgrading wastewater pipeline under Graham Place and a portion of Bellevue Road between late September to mid-October.
Why are we doing this?
The wastewater infrastructure at Graham Place is being upgraded after recent failures of the pipeline. Undertaking this work now will reduce the risk of overflows and improve the resilience of the wastewater network. The upgrade will help ensure the system continues to support the city, reduce maintenance costs, and provide a reliable wastewater service for the future.
What are we doing?
- Upgrading wastewater pipeline along Graham Place and a portion of Bellevue Road.
- Installing around 250 metres of new pipeline within the works area.
- Keeping wastewater services running as normal during construction.
- Managing dust, noise and vibration during construction.
When is the work taking place?
Ground service investigations begin from Wednesday, 23 September and construction will begin on Monday, 28 September. It’s expected construction will be complete by mid-October.
This work is scheduled during the school holidays to reduce disruption to regular peak hour traffic and school traffic.
Traffic management
During construction, temporary traffic management will be in place to support safe movement around the site. This includes three-way stop/ go around Graham Place and Bellevue Road.
