We’re constructing a new section of footpath on both sides of Ashley Place to connect with the existing footpath and make walking in the area safer and easier.
Why are we doing this?
We’re constructing a new section of footpath on both sides of Ashley Place to connect with the existing footpath.
A new pram crossing will be installed at the Ashley Place–Kopukairoa Boulevard intersection to support safer access for parents with strollers, mobility users, children, and people on scooters or bikes.
These upgrades will improve safety, accessibility, and convenience for those who use Ashley Place daily.
This work fills a missing gap in the footpath network, improving access to homes, bus stops, parks, and nearby walkways.
What are we doing?

- Installing a pram crossing at the intersection of Ashley Place–Kopukairoa Boulevard
