Upcoming Professional Services Contract opportunity at Tauranga City Council (TCC)

In order to meet with the current and future demands associated with the significant development currently being carried out in Papamoa’s Wairakei Urban Growth Area (UGA) and the future development of the Te Tumu Urban Growth Area, TCC will be looking to engage professional services for the design and construction of the Papamoa Eastern Interchange (PEI) and associated roading and storm water networks.

The roading network scope includes a grade separated interchange over the Tauranga Eastern Link (TEL) and local road connectivity to the interchange and to the Te Tumu boundary. The Preliminary Design is to include geometrics, structural form for all structural elements, indicative pavement design, storm water, services, roadside furniture and features, and landscaping sufficient for consent and cost estimation of the physical works. The storm water scope includes the preliminary design of a detention pond system scaled to service 45ha of the Wairakei UGA.

The scope also includes the preparation and lodgement of all required consents including alterations to existing consents for roading and storm water work scopes.

The contract will be structured to provide for the provision of detailed design services based on performance to be measured by realistic KPIs.

TCC are currently investigating the opportunity for this project to be co-funded by NZTA and as such all work and deliverables associated with this professional services contract under this contract are required to comply with NZTA's specifications and standards.

Tauranga City Council will be seeking high quality responses to this exciting opportunity. TCC anticipate releasing this tender to the market via an open process on both LG Tender and GETS in June 2017.
